The Rife Handbook

1998 publication (not shown): The Rife Handbook began as a photocopied, yellow-covered, spiral-bound manuscript that was distributed by a frequency device manufacturer. During its distribution run, a four-minute syndicated news program in the US reported about several people who claimed to have eliminated cancer with a strange "sound and light technology." The author, who was mentioned as a contact person for this frequency therapy, soon began receiving phone calls from all over the country. Within six months, she had spoken to over one thousand people who wanted more information. These callers helped Dr. Sylver realize that the desire (and audience) for a safe, effective, non-invasive modality was growingand that a more comprehensive guide to frequency therapy would be needed. Many of the questions she was asked, and the answers she gave, would appear in the FAQ section of Chapter 4 of the next Rife Handbook.

2001

Softcover, 448 pages.

The Handbook of Rife Frequency Healing:
     holistic technology for cancer
    and other diseases.

Out-of-print.

Trust me, this is not worth buying
anymore.

2001 publication: This first professionally printed and bound edition (in which the author spelled her name differently) enjoyed its first public debut at the 2002 Rife Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Only about half the size of the current book, this softcover version was nonetheless very well received, as it filled a growing need for information on frequency therapy and guidance on how to use rife machines. Although helpful, and much appreciated at the time of its publication, this early edition is not recommended today for either the serious researcher or the casual reader, for a number of reasons. One, the technology (and people's understanding of it) has improved so much, that a lot of the information in this softcover edition is incomplete or even obsolete. Equally important, the old softcover did not have an index or multiple headings, which made it very difficult to find information easily. Ironically, used copies of this book have sometimes been seen on resale websites, selling for up to fifteen hundred dollars. While this softcover may have value to some as a "collector's item," in the author's opinion it is no longer worth reading. At this point, it's far better to own the most recent edition so that optimal use can be made of both the frequency technologies and the complementary therapies.

                  2009
  Hardcover, 760 pages.
  The Rife Handbook
of Frequency Therapy
with a Holistic Health Primer.
        Out-of-print.

2009 publication:  Due in part to the continual influx of groundbreaking discoveries from key Rife researchers, the author started revising the 2001 paperback book almost as soon as it was off the press. This 2009 hardcover edition—with almost double the page count of the prior softcover editioncontained much more information, corrected information, vastly improved formatting, and a much better organized thematic structure, with up to four levels of headings and an index. This 2009 edition received worldwide acclaim: one reviewer referred to it as "the bible of holistic medicine for the 21st century," and portions of the book were immediately translated into German and Korean. Soon after its publication, however, brand new research began to surface about how Rife's equipment actually worked, along with lab-tested frequencies for especially virulent health conditions. Since Dr. Sylver wants to see everyone healthy, is a magnet for innovative information, and tends to be a perfectionist, she continued making revisions in order to offer her readers an even more thorough understanding of Rife Therapy. Hence, another rewrite.

            2011
Hardcover, 768 pages.
The Rife Handbook of
   Frequency Therapy

   and Holistic Health

        Out-of-print.

2011 publication: The 2011 book—with a slightly different title, The Rife Handbook of Frequency Therapy and Holistic Health—very closely followed its 2009 predecessor in intent, format, and content, but contained some major updates of certain sections and less obvious rewrites on other pages. The 2011 front cover and spine looked similar to the 2009 front cover and spine, except for the addition of a golden starburst containing the words "Revised 2011 Edition" in purple letters. Despite Dr. Sylver's resolve not to revise the book any further, she couldn't help herself and at the end of 2018, released another edition (see below).

2018 publication: This 5th Edition, at 1104 pages, eclipsed all other versions.

Rife Handbook 2018 Improvements included:
Complete rewrites
More information
Better organization
Easier-to-read format
More Sidebars and Inserts

2018 Hardcover. 1104 pages
    Completely rewritten.

2021 SECOND PRINTING

While still similar to the 5th Edition, needing to reprint allowed the author to add the following

Rife Handbook 2021 Additions:

Streamlined Frequencies
More Protocols (Chapter 5)

New Pathogens & Their Frequencies

Updated Information on Medical Politics

This is STILL about much more than Rife Therapy.
It's a guide to do-it-yourself health care.

In these times, we need accurate information more than ever!

   2021 Hardcover. 1104 pages.
        Similar to 2018 version,
        this is state-of-the-art
      with some corrections,
           and more details
           about pathogens
           and other topics.

Here Is Some of What's Different:

Front Matter.
Longer, more informative Introduction. More photos.

Chapter 1: The Politics of Medicine and the Nature of Health.
Updated section on how we become ill includes additional categories of electron deficiency, electromagnetic toxicity, weather challenges, and noise pollution. There's a vital 6-page Insert, "Electromagnetic Fields and Your Health.” More and updated info on the FDA, CDC, and other institutions that are supposed to serve us. Huge section (now 22 pages) on Legal, Mind-Altering Drugs, which includes a brief summary of how the brain works. There are also some charts: a 6-page Insert, “Functions and Effects of Neurotransmitters” and a 6-page Insert, “Effects of Some Popular Psychotropic Drugs." The "Vaccine Controversy" section alone is 59 pages. It includes the origin and history of vaccines; a 4-page Insert “Vaccine Schedules in the US and the UK”; extensive explanation of how vaccines are supposed to work and why they don’t; a 6-page Insert on the rabies vaccine; published studies on vaccine dangers; an account (by year) of liability protection increasingly given to vaccine manufacturers; various inoculations that actually caused disease; and vaccine alternatives and detox (8 pages). This is thoroughly referenced. There's a huge section on "Electronic Media as a Drug," which discusses equipment ranging from sonograms to cell phones, along with their physiological, biochemical, and social effects. Suppression of natural remedies includes new sections on aloe and pine oil (find out what turpentine really is). There's another Insert on common drugs and safe, natural substitutes. There is so much material here, it's a book in itself.

Chapter 2: The History of Pleomorphism and the Inventions of Royal Raymond Rife. Improved for historical accuracy, with additional information on Nikola Tesla, Georges Lakhovsky and Albert Abrams (all inventors who apparently inspired Royal Rife), along with a discussion on scalar waves and a discussion of how the frequencies actually work.

Chapter 3: Healthy Living and Complementary Therapies.
Vastly improved sections on "Water"; "Coffee"; "Sweeteners"; "Synthetic Chemicals and Fake 'Foods'”; "Food Preparation" (with some very interesting material on raw diets); "Nutritional Supplements"; "Exercise"; and "Sleep and Rest." Brand new sections include "Homeopathy" and "Legal Ingestibles with Pharmacological Effects" (with surprising facts about chocolate and marijuana). "Detoxification," while not a new section, has important additions on “Activated Charcoal, Clay, and Castor Oil,” and "Skin Care." "Meditation" is now in its own section, with lots of studies and more explanations on how it works and how to do it.

Chapter 4: Frequently Asked Questions About Rife Equipment and Sessions.
Updated contraindications. In-depth discussions of RF (radio frequency): how to determine whether you’re Herxing or having a negative reaction to RF. How the frequencies were determined. Dowsing, muscle testing, and radionics. An entire section is devoted to health care providers who want to offer Rife Therapy in their practice, along with details of FDA laws. A lovely Buddhist Healing Prayer is included.

Chapter 5: Frequency Directory. The 202 pages has now expanded to 252 pages. This Directory is much better organized, with easier-to-read fonts designed for instant identification of categories. There are boxed segments in almost every section on nutritional, herbal, and other types of support for the areas being addressed. The Cancer section is vastly improved, with more effective frequencies and natural complementary modalities. Readers are also told how to use two machines for better effects.

Chapter 6: Creating a Better World, Inside and Out.
New material on corporations and inequitable distribution of wealth, including how specific companies work and why you need to know about them. New material on electronic invasion of privacy (which includes your online health records!), and much more.

Appendix A: Resources. New improved format and more categories, including web tools you'll want to use so your privacy is ensured.

Appendix B: Legal Implications of Rife Sessions. Rewritten. New material, better organized, with more details for health care providers.

Appendix C: Healing with Electromedicine & Sound Therapies.
New entries for passive energy equipment, EMF protection, magnet therapy, and sound therapies. Discussion of Herxing. Overview of what electromedical equipment to use for what types of health challenges.

Appendix D: Published Studies in Electromedicine.
Vastly expanded Appendix. Studies are listed by year, all the way back to the 1800s. This information isn’t easily found elsewhere. The content will surprise you!

Appendix E: Rife Research in the United States. Minor changes.

Appendix F: At-A-glance Review of Common Toxic Chemicals. Dangerous chemicals found in the home, in all sorts of products ranging from foods to shampoo and detergent to carpeting . . . and more. Details are given so you can avoid these substances. This Appendix is brand new and highly informative.

Appendix G: Safe Substitutes for Common Toxic Chemicals. Designed to give you the good news after the bad news of the prior Appendix, this section contains easy recipes for making your own safe products, along with several commercial products that are truly safe as well as effective. Handy, informative, and useful.

Appendix H: Create a Detox Footbath for Ten Dollars. Brand new Appendix explains how footbaths work. Save a thousand dollars or more--you don't have to purchase a commercial footbath! Includes photos.

Appendix I: Recent Studies on the Dangers of Harmful Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs). This Appendix was written just before the book went to press because this information is so important. It's intended to accompany the extended section in Chapter 1 on the same topic. Organized by year and annotated, you will easily be able to show your family and friends why microwaving food, talking with your cell phone at your head, or living near power stations isn't a good idea.

References. Massive amounts of documentation, sure to delight the research aficionados (or "research junkies," as one doctor colleague puts it) among us.

Index. In-depth and detailed, even more than previous edition.
