Frequently Asked Questions
PDF, Mac and Windows Compatible eBook

About Buying and Downloading

Q: I have both Windows and Macintosh systems and do not want to pay for each version. What do you recommend?
A: Buy the Macintosh PDF version, which will also work on Windows systems as well

Q: Why is there no printed book available?
A: There are currrently no plans to release the Frequency Directory, or any other chapter, as a seperate printed book. The 2009 version of the entire, new Rife Handbook will be released in mid-September in a hardcover edition. The eBook format allows us to release the book now, world-wide, at a lower price than the printed version, and with no shipping charges.

Q: I can see the sizes of the Sample eBooks, but how large are the Full versions?
A: With the Macintosh version, the sample file really is just a sample (that is why it is much smaller). When the customer buys it, he or she is sent a new file with the whole eBook and that is about 30MB in size.

Q: I downloaded the eBook, but I get an error message when trying to open it?
A: The most common reason for this is that the file was not properly downloaded. This happens often with dial-up connections where the connection was stopped before the file was fully downloaded. We give the file size next to each downloadable file. If your downloaded file is smaller then you need to download the file again. For example, our Rife Handbook PDF is 29.7MB and this will take some time to download on dial-up connections.

About the eBook itself - Macintosh PDF edition

Q: I placed my order, yet I have not received my eBooks!
A: For technical reasons, the PDF versions are currently being sent out manually. You should receive it during the next working day, usually within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

PDF, Mac and Windows Compatible eBook

Q: I downloaded the pdf file on my Mac, but it does not display properly (see image)! What can I do?

A: The macintosh PDF Preview feature system is not compatible with encrypted PDF files. The file cannot be opened using PREVIEW! What needs to be done is to drag the PDF file to the Adobe Acrobat Reader application icon, which then asks for the password and properly opens the PDF file.

If Acrobat Reader is not installed on your Mac, please click on the following icon to install it:

Q: I bought the Rife Handbook and activated it, but cannot see the Sauna book. Is there something else I need to do?
A: Both eBooks are in the same file. Go to the very first page where you will see both front covers side by side. Click on the Sauna book cover and your Sauna book will be displayed.

Q: Will the PDF version work on other operating systems?
A: The PDF version should work on any system that supports 128 bit encrypted PDF files compatible with Acrobat 7 or later. However, we cannot support use on systems other than Windows and Macintosh.

Q: Why does each eBook page have the watermark, “Low-res, not for printing?” Does this mean I can’t print my copy?
A: You can print your eBook. The lighter type in the background of each page is called a “watermark.” Having a watermark still allows you to print, in clear and readable type. If this file were given to a printer and binder of an actual book, the watermark lets the printer know that a different file should be used to print the actual book. (Be assured, however, that the eBook and the printed and bound book will look the same on the inside). If you have a version of the Rife Handbook and see this watermark, you need to download the eBook again to get the latest version which now has an index and does not have the "LOW-RES" watermark.

Q: Can I take the eBook to the printers to get a double sided copy?
A: As the Macintosh eBook is in PDF format, it is technically possible to take the PDF file to a printer for double sided printing. They will only be able to use the PDF file if they also have your password as well. Remember, your license only permits you to print copies for your own personal use.

Q: I am having problems printing the eBook - What can I do?
A: As there are so many different types of printer available, you first need to check you can print normally from Adobe Acrobat Reader using a normal PDF file. If this does not work, then you need to ensure PDF printing works properly with other PDF files before contacting us. Please note that it is NOT possible to print to a PDF printer driver (which would create a new PDF eBook) from our secured PDF document.

If you can print perfectly from a normal PDF document, but not from our secured eBook, then please check the version of Adobe Reader you are using. If it is less than 7, then you will need to upgrade before printing is possible, if less than 9 then we recommend upgrading to the latest version. If you are using a PDF reader that does not come from Adobe, please download and install the latest Adobe Reader on your system.

About the Rife Handbook itself - Printed edition

Q: When will the printed and bound Rife Handbook be available?
A: The printed hardcover edition will be available to US customers from mid-September.

Q: Why don’t you simply make the Rife Handbook available from a print-on-demand company?
A: This option was researched thoroughly. As of this writing, there is no print-on-demand company that can produce a book of this size (8½ x 11), and with this many pages. Also, any book that’s 760+ pages cannot be bound in softcover—it must be hardcover, and sewn, to have a long and durable shelf life. At the moment, there are no print-on-demand companies capable of producing hardcover, sewn books. Using a printing/binding company that specializes in large books ensures our ability to control the quality of the final product.

Other Issues

Q: I tried to subscribe to the "RSS Feed" to be informed of updates, and just got a strange page
A: RSS Feeds are a releatively new way of keeping yourself informed about updates, news, etc. All current Webbrowsers have news readers built in to them. If you are using an older version of Internet Explorer than version 7, then it will not regognise the page and you will just see a list of codes. We recommend you upgrade your webbrowser to the latest version - a good idea anyway as such browsers are more secure and easier to use as well.

Q: I wanted to upgrade from the Frequency Directory, but I was unable to login.
A: The Login codes were built from your PayPal username and your Secure-eBook Activation Key. If you previously purchased the Mac PDF version of the Frequency Directory, you will need to register with us before you can access the Upgrade Page.
