or the original article.

As the owner of a major Rife research organization in Europe, two lnternet e-groups, and another Rife information center (Rife Wiki), I am very pleased to review The Rife Handbook of Frequency Therapy with a Holistic Health Primer. This long-awaited volume is similar in theme to an earlier volume (The Handbook of Rife Frequency Healing, by the same author with a different spelling of her name). However, this current book is almost twice as long, containing an extensive index, three appendices, a detailed Chapter Outline reflecting the four levels of headings in the text, and significantly expanded sections of new material, including over 60 photos and tables.

ln simplistic terms, Rife therapy uses the resonance effect to treat disease similarly to how a wineglass shatters when an opera singer sings the correct note. Originally developed to treat cancer, Rife therapy - using specific electrically generated frequencies - is now also widely used for Lyme disease, arthritis, neurological disorders such as Parkinson's and multiple sclerosis, Candida and other infections, and many other diseases. ln the US, Rife therapy is utilized by many thousands of people as an experimental complementary therapy with a number of very positive reports. But in Europe, Rife therapy is used not only by natural health practitioners, but also by allopathically trained doctors. Related methods are also employed in some European hospitals and clinics.

ln The Rife Handbook, just about every aspect of Rife therapy is covered in detail in a well-structured and understandable way, suitable for beginners and experts alike. lf you are just starting to learn about Rife therapy, you will have a lot of questions and will be looking for intelligent, competent answers to questions such as:

  • Who was Royal Raymond Rife?

  • How did he discover this therapy?

  • How do the devices work today?

  • Where can I find reliable and effective frequency devices?

  • What should I look for in a manufacturer?

  • What are the best frequencies to use for specific diseases?

  • How were the frequencies determined?

  • How do I give myself a Rife session?

  • What are the contraindications for treating with this therapy?

  • What precautions should I take when using the equipment?

  • What are the legal aspects of Rife therapy?

  • Why does my doctor not offer this therapy (although in Europe, some do)?

  • Where can I find additional help?

ln addition, whether you're a practitioner or receiver of health services, you need to know:

  • How does allopathic medicine compare with holistic therapies (includ ing electromedicine)?

  • How do electromedicine modalities - such as lasers, LEDs, pulsed magnetic fields and sound - work? (Dr. Sylver's two-part article "Healing With Electromedicine and Sound Therapies," published in Townsend Letter 2008, has been incorporated into an expanded Appendix C.)

  • Which complimentary modalities should I be looking at (such as ozone treatments, Spectro-Chrome color therapy, and sauna detoxification)?

  • What foods and nutrients do I need, and what should I avoid and why?

  • Which minerals need replacing after Rife sessions?

  • How can Chinese medicine practitioners and massage therapists utilize Rife therapy to its best advantage?

  • What do you need to know about frequency therapy when combining it with nutritional and herbal supplernentation, and other treatments such as chemo?

When exploring Rife therapy, one of the key questions that everybody has is, what frequency do I need? over 200 pages (Chapter 5) comprise the extensive Frequency Directory. This directory is more than a list of diseases and frequencies; it explains the origin of the disease, how it affects the body, what other coinfections and conditions may exist along with the one you're looking up, and complementary therapies that may be helpful along with frequency sessions. For the layperson, this chapter offers a minicourse in how the body works. For the professional, this chapter discusses relationships between illnesses and multiple causes that can assist in a more rapid diagnosis as well as treatment.

Dr. Nenah Sylver has an excellent reputation in the Rife world. The Rife Handbook has been praised by experts and researchers in the electromedicine and Rife fields as "a seminal guidebook," and as "the bible of hotistic medicine for the 21st century." Moreover, this book has also been praised by complementary health practitioners. Electromedicine and nutrition expert Dr. Steve Haltiwanger comments, "This is an encyclopedia on electromedicine." Dr. Robert S. lvker, cofounder and past president of the American Board of
lntegrative Holistic Medicine (ABIHM), is quoted on the back cover: "l highly recommend it for any clinical practice utilizing complementary and energy medicine therapies." And Rose Marie Williams, Townsend Letter columnist, writes: "The Rife Handbook is sophisticated enough for the seasoned health professional, yet thorough and understandable enough for the novice. Even if the reader does not (yet) own a frequency

device, this Handbook is one of the best primers I have ever seen on holistic health. Anyone interested in alternative healing protocols must have this book." I agree.

When the earlier version of this book went out of print, used copies were selling on Amazon.com for up to $820. Dr. Sylver could have chosen to reprint, but wanted to incorporate the many discoveries in Rife research that have been made during the last several years. When asked why she spent over a decade of her life working on the two versions of this book, she replied simply, "Because nobody else was doing it."

Nenah Sylver's work is not only well researched, it's very well written and well organized. Most important, it's designed to empower the health seeker and help people make the most informed decision about their health care. The amount of practical, accessible information ensures that this volume belongs on your bookshelf for years to come.
