About This Site and Nenah Sylver
Warm regards to everyone, and welcome.
This website is a fusion of my life’s work to help people on their journey to emotional expansion, intellectual development, physical health, and spiritual growth. At first glance, my various categories and interests might seem diverse and unrelated to each other. But I am confident that as you explore this site, you will soon understand how everything is connected. Whether it’s the restoration of wellness and balance to the body, the attainment of a loving honest relationship, the enjoyment of music’s celestial harmonies, or understanding the science of creation, the unifying link here is frequency: the synchronous and coherent dance of universal life energy.
I have always loved music. At the age of 4½, I began taking piano lessons, later picking up the guitar and flute. For nearly two decades I worked as a singer, songwriter and musician, performing in clubs, coffee houses, and for institutional audiences in nursing homes, hospitals, cancer wards and rehab centers. During that time, I developed diabetes. Recognizing that my condition was due to an imbalance in my body, I reasoned that what is out of balance can be brought back into balance. This led me to an intensive self-education program in holistic health—and six years later, I was well.
Interspersed with my music, at various times I painted (usually in watercolor), and eventually crafted many one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry, all from semi-precious stones.
It was my intense love of art and music that led me to study physics, and later the sacred spiritual study of Keylontic Science. The arts provide a natural springboard for learning the science of energy, since after all light and sound are frequencies. From the standpoint of quantum physics, light consists of tiny energy packets suffusing all of creation. And since all matter vibrates, it has a sound (even if we cannot hear it). Throughout my studies—in acoustics, physics, energy medicine and spiritual science—I had many questions, and they never seemed to end! What was the connection between physical, emotional and spiritual well-being? What role did frequencies, in their various forms, play in healing? And was there a common denominator of all life from an energetic standpoint? If so, what was it? Where could I go to find out the answer?
Eventually, I went to graduate school and received a PhD in Transformational Psychology, a multi-disciplinary blend I created of feminist theory and gender studies, energy medicine, and the bodymind principles and techniques of Wilhelm Reich. Reich was a 20th century psychiatrist-natural scientist who profoundly understood and appreciated the inherently loving, Divine essence of every human being—indeed, of the very cosmos. The body-oriented psychotherapy he developed, which helped integrate body, emotions, intellect and spirit, was the foundation of all the psychotherapy work I facilitated with clients.
Feminist theory helped me analyze core aspects of social injustice, and Reichian work gave me the tools to heal the effects of that injustice. The "orgone" universal life force energy principles of Wilhelm Reich also served as a bridge between the human-made cultural and social structures that feminism critiqued, and the frequencies that I would later investigate in great detail in my forays into energetic healing.
As I began clarifying my thoughts through the written word (non-fiction, fiction and poetry), I discovered that other people wanted to read what I had to say. I began to publish articles on feminism, psychology, spirituality and the natural sciences in magazines, journals and anthologies all over the world. Today, writing has become as important to me as individual consulting, since it allows me to communicate to great numbers of people at once.
Despite my growing older in years, I am still waiting to see what I'll be when I grow up.
Let me know if there's anything you'd like me to feature on this site. Thank you for stopping by.
